Structured Finance Division

Bayview's Structured Finance Division provides structuring for long-term financing for our Company's core mortgage investment businesses, while delivering securitization services to other Bayview clients.

We have built a world-class securitization program with high-end, in-house, structured finance capabilities. In addition to providing a source of committed funding for our Company, we use our securitization program to generate long-term value for investors by:

  • Providing information transparency at the time of issuance by showing data based on updated real estate valuations, credit reports and payment histories to investors, ratings agencies and dealers;
  • Regularly publishing and distributing relevant performance data to our investors, dealers and ratings agencies;
  • Facilitating secondary trading support through communication with an increasing number of Wall Street dealers; and
  • Ensuring that investors receive timely answers to their questions directly from our management team.

We enhance our ability to meet these objectives by offering the i-View® Investor Resource tool, which gives our investors instant access to in-depth collateral analysis and reporting across Bayview's securitization portfolio.

Since Bayview affiliates own the equity classes of our securitizations, Bayview appoints its special servicer, Bayview Loan Servicing LLC, to service any credit impaired loans. Generally, we sell our primary servicing rights to M&T Bank.

Since 1998, Bayview affiliates have issued more than $27 billion of investment-grade asset-backed securities in the 144A and public investor markets.

Over that same period, our investor demographics have evolved significantly, growing from a base that was once primarily made up of domestic money managers to one that today includes a diverse mix of international and domestic banks, conduits, and insurance companies.
